Woodall Mountain
Neither my dad or myself had been to Mississippi before, but within 15 minutes I reached its highest point. I've lived over 40 years in NY and I have yet reached the summit of Marcy. For most of the past 30 years, I have lived within an hour of the highest point in CT and have yet reached it yet either. It's a funny thing about highpointing.
Woodall Mountain at just over 800 feet is one of the lowest of the state highpoints. It's easily accessible as it requires a short drive up a dirt road and is located near a few state highways. It appears to rise about 300 to 400 feet above the surrounding area, so if it doesn't seem to live up to being a mountain, it at least lives up to being a hill. The "mountain" doesn't provide much in views, but there is a clearing to the northeast. It poured most of the way up, but stopped long enough for myself to get out of the car and take a summit photo.
I like the gang signs. Next time, pull your shorts down really low, so I can see your underwear.
