ADK Fire Tower Gore Mt

Finally setting out after yesterday's debacle, I got off to an early start for Gore Mt. This was a good thing. My guide book listed the hike as 9 miles round trip. It turned out to be just shy of 12. There was a reroute fairly recently.

For a mountain that is littered with all sorts of buildings on and near its summit, it sure had a wonderful, wilderness trail leading to it. Mostly following a brook with some great waterfalls, you had no idea how close you were to civilization. Beautiful marshes with trees already changing some of its colors could also be found along the way.

  1. Que hermosa. Can you take me there? I love walks along streams and brooks. Did you stop in town to eat dinner? I've never been to Gore, wonder what the town is like.
