Beebe Hill

Beebe Hill Fire Tower

Nice woods walk where there's still snow

Views of Catamount ski area to the south

Albany to the north and west

Catskills to the west

Ranger cabin and surrounding hills

Today, I took the opportunity to head up to Austerlitz and hike up to the Beebe Hill Fire Tower. On such a beautiful day, I would be rewarded nicely.

Located just 2 miles north of Austerlitz (which is basically the intersection of Routes 203 and 22 east of Chatham, but does have some charming old houses) an easy 1 mile hike offers great views of the surrounding hills, Albany and the Catskills. Even the Adirondacks start to peak out in the distance.
