Federal Hill

Located a couple miles south of Milford, New Hampshire, Federal Hill is a readily accessible fire tower hike in New Hampshire.  It's a short hike (about a half mile) with next to no elevation gained (100 feet).

Unfortunately, the fire tower is extremely short with no cabin access (at least not today).  The views do not clear the trees to the east toward the Monadnocks.  The hill's proximity to Manchester leads to views in that direction except for some of the trees.  Still, it was a nice stop that required little effort.
