Walk Around Wrigley Field

The view from the L train

Looking down Sheffield.  There's the right field foul pole.

"It's a simple question doctor.  Would you eat the moon if it were made of ribs?"

I spent a nice cool, crisp afternoon walking around Wrigley Field.  This park will be celebrating 100 years next year, but sadly for cubbie fans, the Cubs have never won a World Series here.  Amazing.

Walking around the stadium is somewhat surreal.  I've seen the stadium on TV countless times.  In person, it's a bit of a shock to the senses, especially walking along Waveland Ave.  Many homeruns into left field clear the bleachers and end up onto Waveland.  I've seen many Sportscenter highlights with people running after the ball with the brick buildings of Waveland in the background.

Waveland Ave

Left field bleachers.  During games many line the streets in hopes of a  homerun ball.
