Flying Out of LaGuardia

This has nothing to do with hiking, though it does have to do with traveling.  So this post with accompanying pics will have a spot here.

Flying out of LaGuardia has to be one of the best airports to fly out of.  Both times I've flown out on the right side of the plane (which happens to be the left side).  Las Vegas also is a great airport to fly out of, but unfortunately, both times I've been on the wrong side of the plane.  And really unfortunately, I did not keep a mental note of which side is the side with the views of the strip.

Though I've been on the left side of the plane both times, I did not have a camera the first time and this most recent time, we found our way into the clouds much too soon.  But not soon enough to get some cool fotos of the U.S. Tennis Center and the Whitestone and Throgs Neck Bridges which I've been on countless times.

The Whitestone

The Throgs.  So many times I've been stuck in traffic on that bridge

  1. If I only had the balls to get on a plane. Great aerial views of the city. Did you leave Citi Field out on purpose? I only see the front part. Ha ha!

  2. Great shots! It's so cool to see aerial views of the Whitestone and the Throgs. I hate and love those bridges. The last few times I went over the Whitestone, I had fears of the roadway deck collapsing. That bridge is always under construction! Not that the Throgs is much better. I remember the first time I went over the Throgs. I was kid and my parents were taking me and my two brothers to "Safari, Wildlife Habitat" in New Jersey. My child mind had no reference for words that didn't make sense. So when my dad mentioned that we'd be going over the "Throgs Neck Bridge," my mind turned that into "Frog's Neck Bridge." Once I saw the sign for the bridge, I became confused, and asked myself, "what's a throg?" I still haven't answered this question.

You might want to check out some of the affiliate programs for making money blogging. You have a lot of knowledge about hiking and gear. You could review a piece of gear and get a cut of any sales if someone buys it through your site.
