Osterman Beach, Chicago, Snow in April

Catching the sunrise

Edgewater Beach Hotel

It's always a nice way to start the day

Despite much rain during the week, the temps were very mild.  Most days a jacket was not necessary.  But winter still has a little bit left despite it already being a month into spring.

Yesterday I woke up to hail.  Today I woke up to a light dusting of snow.  Today would be one of those rare occasions I would see snow on a sandy beach.  Who really thinks of going to the beach with snow on the ground?  But it is one of nature's more wonderful sights.

  1. Nothing like the changeability of spring weather. Was in the 30s in the Lone Star last night. Very windy and chilly today. But the temperature will rebound by more than 30 degrees in a few days.
