OK, your asking, "What the hell does a scenic drive have to do with hiking?" Yes, many of these pics required a bit of driving. But it also required a bit of walking/hiking. Definitely more than the average American does in a day.
Bryce is one of those parks where you can get a lot out of your stay without venturing too far from the vehicle. It's still best to get out on the trails and I regret not doing any of the back country trails. Still, the scenic drive provides some of the most outstanding views in the park.
What kind of vehicle did you rent? Is that a raven on the sign. Some crazy high plateaus there. I imagine the backcountry trails are intense. What kind of wildlife is there? Any large mammals?

Not a lot of mammals. Mule Deer is all I saw there. Supposedly there is bear and cougars.
