Mossy Cave

Hoodoos and a beautiful creek

Mossy Cave.  Not much of a cave, but it did impress with its moss

Waterfall among the hoodoos

More lovely hoodoos

Just a beautiful area

Classic Bryce hoodoos

I could kick myself for passing this by a few years ago

When bicycling across the country, I passed the trail head to this short and very sweet little walk.  I noticed that I was not descending, so I do not quite remember why I would have passed this up.  Though it most likely had to do with the time.

Instead I waited almost 5 years to do this walk.  It's a great one.  Right off of Route 12, you do not have to pay the entrance fee to Bryce Canyon to do this walk.  It gives a good introduction into what Bryce Canyon is.  Plenty of hoodoos formed out of gorgeous Utah red rocks.  A few bonuses here:  a turquoise colored stream (pics of above do no justice), a pretty waterfall and the namesake cave.  An easy walk with very little elevation gained.  But it was difficult to keep from snapping fotos with every step.  Easy and foto friendly.  What better walks are there?
